Hello there, I'm Cassie!

I am the voice behind Eclectic Host Living, a brand built on the idea that great cooking does not follow one set of rules. By day, I work as a fire life safety specialist. Outside of work, I blend bold flavors, thoughtful details, and an intentional approach to both living and entertaining, creating recipes that are as dynamic as the people gathered around my table.

My cooking style celebrates variety, intuition, and a little bit of flair, inviting readers to step outside the ordinary and cook in a way that feels entirely their own.

I live in Vancouver, Washington with my husband, Ryan, and our dogs, Sheldon and Lois. When we are not developing new recipes or tossing meat on the smoker, you can usually find us trying new restaurants, hanging out with the dogs, or traveling somewhere new.

My featured photo was taken in Bologna, Italy. This photo was taken at a revolutionary moment in my life when I finally found a place where parmesan was not treated as a topping, but served in bite-sized pieces. I like to think of this page as a safe space for those of us who believe parmesan can absolutely qualify as a small meal instead of just a garnish.
